About Captain Mel Erickson
Capt. Mel Erickson has owned and run Alaskan Gamefisher out of Soldotna since 1989. Trips cover Kenai River king and coho salmon from June through August, Cook Inlet halibut and king salmon out of Anchor Point, Homer halibut, Seward silver salmon in summer, and fly-out trips to remote streams for sockeye and silvers. Half-day, full-day and multi-day packages are available, and packages include boat, crew, fishing gear and lodging at a three-bedroom home two miles outside Soldotna. Bear viewing trips are offered too.
