Is there a fee to use Unreel?
No. Browsing and contacting captains is completely free for anglers.
How do I book a charter?
Contact the captain directly through their listing. Each captain handles their own booking, payment, and scheduling. We’re a directory, not a booking platform.
Are captains verified?
Captain claim verification is in progress. Federally, US charter captains operating commercially must hold a USCG license — that’s a baseline requirement, not something Unreel grants.
Why don't most listings have reviews?
Unreel launched recently. Reviews are growing organically as anglers complete trips and post their experiences.
What if I need to cancel a trip?
Cancellation policies are set by each captain. Always ask about their specific policy before booking. See our Cancellations page for what to ask before paying any deposit.
How is this different from FishingBooker?
FishingBooker takes 15–22% commission on every booking. We take zero. We also organize search by species (how anglers actually think) instead of forcing location-first browsing.

How do I list my charter?
Visit /captains/claim. The free tier costs nothing. Pro and Featured tiers offer enhanced visibility starting at $49/month with a 30-day free trial.
Do you take a cut of my bookings?
No. Listings are flat-rate (free, $49/mo Pro, or $149/mo Featured). What you book is what you keep.
Can I claim an existing listing?
Yes. If your charter is already in our directory, claim it through /captains/claim and verify ownership.
