Terms of Service

By accessing or using unreelcharters.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Unreel Charters ("Unreel," "we," "us").

Unreel Charters is a directory that helps anglers discover and contact fishing charter captains across the United States. We provide listings, search tools, and messaging — we are not a booking platform, and we are not a party to any booking, trip, or transaction between anglers and captains.

Listings may be created from public information (for example, public business data) or submitted by captains who claim their listing. We do not independently verify every detail. Prices, availability, target species, and other information can change without notice. Captains are responsible for the accuracy of their own listings.

If you believe a listing contains incorrect or unauthorized information, email support@unreelcharters.com.

Captains may upgrade to Pro for a flat monthly or annual fee. Pro unlocks featured placement, a photo gallery, pricing display, direct booking link, and monthly traffic reports.

• No commission. We never take a percentage of your bookings. Pro is a flat fee, regardless of how many trips you book.
• Cancel anytime. You can cancel your Pro subscription from your dashboard or through Stripe at any time. Your Pro features remain active through the end of the billing period.
• 30 days notice for price changes. If we change Pro pricing, we will give existing subscribers at least 30 days notice by email before the new price takes effect. You may cancel before the change without penalty.
• Refunds. Monthly fees are generally non-refundable once charged. Annual fees may be prorated and refunded at our discretion for unused months.

Anglers may use the Service to discover captains, send inquiries, and leave reviews. You agree to provide accurate contact information and to use inquiries in good faith. You will not use the Service to send spam, harass captains, or solicit services unrelated to fishing charters.

Reviews must be based on actual experiences with a charter. Reviews that are false, defamatory, discriminatory, or posted in exchange for compensation are prohibited and will be removed. By posting a review, you grant Unreel a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reformat, and excerpt it on the Service.

The Service — including its design, code, aggregated data, branding, and content created by us — is owned by Unreel Charters and protected by copyright and trademark law. Captains retain ownership of content they submit (photos, bios, descriptions) but grant Unreel a non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content in connection with the Service.

You may not scrape, reproduce, or redistribute the directory in bulk without written permission.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that any captain is licensed, insured, available, or suitable for a particular trip. Fishing involves inherent risk, including weather, sea conditions, and wildlife. You are responsible for verifying a captain's credentials before booking.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unreel Charters and its officers, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or personal injury — arising from your use of the Service or any interaction with a captain or angler you met through the Service.

Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold Unreel harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

We may suspend or terminate your access — as an angler or captain — at any time if you violate these Terms, use the Service abusively, or if required by law. Captains may cancel their Pro subscription and delete their listing at any time through their dashboard.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, email registered captains with at least 30 days notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
