Coast to Coast
Fishing Charters by State
From the Gulf flats to Pacific salmon runs, browse captains in every major fishing state.
We track 8,578 active charter operations across 49 states, and the distribution is far less even than a list of states suggests. Florida alone accounts for 1,318 of them, more than Alaska and Texas combined.
That concentration matters before you book. In a state with hundreds of captains spread over dozens of ports you are really choosing a town first, and the fishery changes with it. In a state where the fleet clusters into a handful of harbours you are choosing a captain, and the run out to fish is much the same whoever you pick. Each state below shows its active charter count and the species its captains most commonly target.
