Big Sky Fishing Charters offers private, family-friendly guided fishing trips on Flathead Lake from Marina Cay Resort in Bigfork, Montana. We are conveniently located near Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls and Glacier National Park, making us an easy fishing adventure for families and visitors exploring Northwest Montana. Our private 5-hour and 9-hour Flathead Lake charters primarily target lake trout along with seasonal Lake Superior whitefish. We also offer guided northern pike fishing on the Flathead River, multi-species trips on Swan Lake, and guided fishing on Fort Peck Reservoir for king (Chinook) salmon, lake trout, walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass. Big Sky Fishing Charters also offers Montana ice fishing and private Wild Horse Island sightseeing tours on Flathead Lake. During the winter season, we operate private fishing charters on Lake Havasu, Arizona. Our fleet includes the largest commercial charter fishing boat on Flathead Lake, a 34-foot Thunderjet with a fully covered cabin, private restroom, two dinette tables and room for groups up to 12. Smaller private charter boats are available for families and smaller groups. Big Sky Fishing Charters was established in 2016. In 2023, we acquired Aable Fishing Charters, Howes Fishing and Mo Fisch Charters, bringing together a Montana charter fishing tradition dating back to 1987. We welcome families, groups and anglers of all skill levels.
