About Captain Jim Hobales
Captain Jim Hobales was born and raised in South Florida. In the early years he learned to fish his home waters of Miami’s Biscayne Bay and the Florida Keys. In the early 1980’s he was introduced to Flamingo, at Everglades National Park, it was a life changing experience. Captain Jim became obsessed with the flats fishing charters in both Florida Bay as well as Whitewater Bay in the backcountry. No matter if it was sight casting on the flats to tailing Redfish, plugging a shoreline for Snook or casting a fly at rolling Tarpon.

3 days agoCaptain Jim, Billy Albert, Jeremy Whitcomb and I would like to thank you for a very memorable fishing trip!!! What a day!!! I have fished all over the country and can honestly say you are as good of a guide as they get. We caught some very outstanding snook weighing up to sixteen pounds. Man can they smash a lure!!!!! And what can I say about the tarpon fishing!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was awesome to watch fish from 35 to 130 pounds jumping and stripping line off the rods. And the 130 pounder that threw the bait 10 feet out of the air, WOW!!!!!! We had several hookups and landed three from 35 to 90 pounds. These are memories that we will have with us for the rest of our lives. Thank You for a wonderful trip.

3 days agoI wanted to thank you for the trip my wife and I took with you last Monday. It was a tough day for catching but not for your efforts. I appreciate how hard you worked to put us on the fish and how nice your fishing platform is. They finally bit good toward the end of the day and it was great to catch some nice snook and redfish. Looking forward to another trip!
