Fish On Guide Service

The truth is, after first fishing the area since 1991, and being a USCG licensed fishing guide since 2003, I’ve learned the marsh and the river system surrounding Venice LA. I know the fish patterns and I check the weather conditions, so I can put you on the fish. I really enjoy taking folks out to catch the Redfish, also called red fishing or redfishing and fish for other species. If you are a beginner-no problem, I will teach you how to get the fish hooked and netted. If you have experience, great, you can probably show me a thing or two that you may have learned fishing somewhere else in the world. I think there are a couple of things that make my guide service different that some others. First, I am not, nor do I want to be an “industrial scale” sport-fishing operation. I don’t want to be a booking agent. If you book a trip with me, you are fishing with me or an experienced licensed Captain that I work closely and often with. I just want to enjoy making a living doing what I like best: fishing and navigating a boat in an awesome estuary with good people. Second, I get excited when my clients get excited catching fish, especially the big Bull Redfish. I fell into targeting the Bull Red Fish because I started getting a lot of repeat business from clients that got so pumped up about catching those brutes! It makes me happy to see my clients get excited about their catch. It is heart pumping action to catch those Bull Reds. Most of my clients can catch the smaller keeper size fish to eat where they live but not those big Bull Redfish (20+LB with a good chance of catching heavier fish!) Though being a guide is hard work, I have a good time being on the water. I value my days off as well.
