About Captain Baz
Our fly-fishing is excellent year-round. We focus mostly on redfish, trout, and false albacore during the winter months. Migratory species including pompano, Spanish mackerel, and jack crevalle arrive in March and stay through October. Our annual tarpon "run" comes in June and July, and you don't want to miss the annual "Running of the Bulls" in late-October through early-December when thousands of "bull" redfish feed on schools of menhaden in Pensacola Bay. There's always something exciting going on with the fly rod, and you might even get the Emerald Coast Grand Slam! To me, sight-fishing with a fly rod is the ultimate fishing experience. I was fortunate to introduce guided fly-fishing to the area twenty years ago, and I still love every day I'm on the water with my clients. Take time to dig deeper into the " local waters " and " target fish " sections as there are lots of great photos and videos that truly tell the story of what we're all about. We have a lot to offer our fly-fishing enthusiasts, and there's something exciting going on year-round. First-time visitors are amazed at our beautiful beaches, water clarity, and the diversity of our fishery. I hope to have the opportunity to be your guide.
