About the Captain
I grew up right here in Humboldt County and was raised fishing the local rivers, lagoons, and ocean. I fished with my father who was a commercial crab and salmon fisherman, as well as a Gyotaku (fish print) artist. Fishing is such a wonderful sport, in part because it can be enjoyed by a variety of different people, young and old. I love being on the ocean and spending time with others who also have the same enthusiasm and love of the sport. Sharing stories and learning new tricks of the trade (such as how to bait and lure the fish) keep the sport interesting and entertaining. When I am not on the water I enjoy sports, traveling (as long as it is somewhere I can fish), and spending time with my family. My family and I frequently visit my parents in Hawaii and try to get there as much as possible. My favorite activities while visiting include fishing with my dad and brother, and snorkeling/diving. I have a beautiful wife, a 6 & 9 year old daughter. We also enjoy spending time with our two dogs - Rocco and Lomi.
