From the Great Lakes to the KeysCaptain Chris Harpster grew up in west Michigan and caught the big fish bug early. He started as a deckhand on salmon charters on the Great Lakes, then ran walleye and pike trips, but freshwater didn't have the pull he was looking for. After a vacation to the Keys he made the move, and he's been hooked on saltwater ever since.He's fished the Keys for ten years, first for other captains out of Key West and Marathon. Five years ago he started Keys Disease Charters, and he's run close to a thousand trips since. Now he fishes from Big Pine Key on his 27' Century.
