Rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, and required safety equipment are provided. Bring yourself and anything you'd like to eat or drink. Check the listing for specifics.

We recommend bringing sun block, warm or waterproof clothing, motion sickness prevention products, food and beverages.

Our guests are exempt from obtaining a state salt water fishing license since we are a registered charter/party boat with the State of Rhode Island

We happily take young anglers. Ask about kid-friendly trips. Life vests are provided on all vessels. Children 13 and under must provided their own life vests.

We fillet and bag your catch after the trip.

No experience required. We guide anglers of all skill levels. The more you've fished, the more advanced techniques you can try.

It depends on the season and conditions. Check the target species on the listing; your captain will put you on what’s biting.

Pamela May is based in Narragansett, Rhode Island. Our small size gives us a big advantage - we are mobile, so we can go to where the fish are. Locations are based on fishing and weather conditions to give you the best chance to catch a fish of a lifetime. We leave from Galilee or Pier 5 in Narragansett, but can mobilize to South Shore, and reefs off Newport, or into Narragansett Bay to get you on the fish!

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking which can be made via credit card or Venmo. On the day of the charter we can only settle remaining balances by cash or Venmo. No credit cards or personal checks will be accepted. A 20% gratuity is appreciated.

Early bird gets the worm aboard Pamela May. Our early morning 5am departures (which are highly recommended) are common, but sunrise times vary throughout our fishing season so exact start times will differ. Upon booking a charter we will contact you to provide departure time, pick up location and any additional details for your fishing adventure.

Book online Morning charters start early! We actively pursue fish such as Stripers, Blues and Albies using fly and light tackle fishing methods. As the morning action settles down we set up to bottom fish primarily for Fluke and Seabass. Our 6-hour charters will spend a little more time bottom fishing to fill the cooler. Evening charters offer opportunities for bottom fishing for both Fluke and Seabass or casting to Stripers, Blues and Albies. At sunset our charters will focus in on live bait fishing over structure for big Striped Bass. Times of charters may vary depending on sunrise or sunset and fishing conditions; however, we always keep you informed of your charter dates, times and locations. Pamela May is a 23-ft Sea Ox with a 175hp Suzuki outboard that is registered as a Rhode Island Charter Boat. Boat can accommodate 1 to 3 people and includes a toilet within the large center console. Fully insured inshore fishing boat designed for light tackle and fly fishing. Target species includes Striped Bass, Bluefish, False Albacore and Green Bonito as well as summer Flounder, Tautog and Black Sea Bass, all when in season.
