About the Captain
Captain Dave Riback and all captains of the Purple Jet Fleet are FULL TIME FISHERMAN! Our goal is to create smiles, great times, action packed days & long lasting memories. Let us share our 30+ years of fishing knowledge with you. Capt Dave began his fishing career as a third mate on the Party Fishing Boat Queen Mary at the age of 16. Working summers, put him through the University of San Diego. Dave started his captain career in the early 90’s, first as the full time night Captain on the Queen Mary. In 1997, Dave purchased a 42’ Key West # 1 Hull with jet drives and painted it Purple. That is where the name Purple Jet was derived.
