Captain Ed Bayley Captain Ed Bayley is a native of Pine Point Beach in Scarborough, Maine, and grew up on the waters locals simply call “The Point.” He earned the nickname “Dinghy” at age seven, when he was often seen rowing lobstermen’s small wooden skiffs along the shoreline.By age ten, Ed had launched his own summer fish-filleting business. At thirteen, he secured a spot on a local head charter boat, filleting the day’s catch before the vessel reached the dock to stay ahead of the competition.Today, Captain Ed holds a 100-Ton Master U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License and is a registered Maine Guide.
