About Roanoke SportfishingMeet the CaptainCapt. Elliott Ambrose grew up fishing the Roanoke River slightly inland of the Outer Banks. He spent his days learning everything about every marine species he could. That passion led him to the ocean where he took a job as a mate fishing out of Oregon Inlet. From then on, he spent all of his time fishing Inshore, Nearshore and Offshore. He has been a Captain for the last 11 years and now, an owner-operator. Capt. The BoatThe Roanoke is a 50' Carolina Sportfisher built by legendary local boat builder and Charter Boat Captain, Sheldon Midgett. Equipped with a spacious cockpit and a large center fighting chair, there's plenty of room to bring in the big one.
