Sand City Fishing Charter runs private inshore trips out of Huntington Harbor on Long Island's North Shore with Capt. Gaige Simon and First Mate Kory. Striped bass are the main focus, from the April 15 opener through the summer, including late-evening and night trips around the June moons. Bluefish and weakfish are in the mix, and fall brings Spanish mackerel and false albacore. Trips are built around your group, fishing live bunker, topwater or artificial lures. Rods, bait, tackle and your New York fishing license for the day are included, along with cold soft drinks on board. Open boat trips also run weekly through the summer for individuals and small groups.
