Frequently asked questions

What's included in the trip?

WE provide - All fishing equipment, bait and/or lures, drinking water and good attitudes.

What should I bring?

YOU provide - appropriate Tennessee fishing licenses, sunscreen (please no spray sunscreen. It gets on the fishing equipment), sunglasses, food, snacks, soft drinks and weather-appropriate clothing.

Do I need a fishing license?

Yes. If you don't have them we will tell you how to get them at a local retailer or online.

Are kids welcome?

Yes

Do you clean and bag the catch?

No. Bass fishing trips are catch and release. You can keep legal-sized catfish, crappie and walleye. However, we do not clean fish. You bring a cooler to take your fish home and care for them.

Do I need fishing experience?

No experience required — our captains guide anglers of all skill levels.

What will we target?

Your choice, provided it is a species our guides routinely target (see our website). Some species are season. We do fish for largemouth bass and catfish year-round.

Cancellation Policy

If we have to cancel a trip due to severe weather or water conditions, we will either reschedule your trip or provide a full refund of your deposit - your choice. Rain, without high winds or lightning is not considered "severe weather." While we always try to be accommodating for our client's comfort level, our guides are always prepared to fish if it's just raining. You should be too. We are more flexible on our cancellation policy during winter cold weather months. If you cancel a trip with more than three weeks notice, we can refund your deposit. If you cancel with less than three weeks notice, we keep the deposit but you can reschedule your trip at the earliest mutually convenient date during the SAME CALENDAR YEAR.
