Capt. Derek Wood has been fishing out of Cape Hatteras for 10 years both commercially and mating on charter boats including the big 52' Capt Snag. Derek has always been obsessed with fishing since the age of 5 when his father shared offshore stories of his own youth of mating out of Rudee Inlet, VA. Those stories inspired Derek with the drive to be the best fisherman he could become. Capt. Derek's goal is to always provide the most professional fishing service in Hatteras for the best price available. He prefers a low key respectful approach so that Sea Angel's clients are always having a lot of fun and enjoying the excitement of big game fishing while he strives hard to put fish in the box for them! Derek has worked diligently to establish himself in this industry and fulfill his dream of being in charge of his own charter boat.
