About the Captain
The Seabbatical is a family-run, family friendly local boat out of Southport / Oak Island. Captain Adam, after leaving the Coast Guard, married into a local family and was quickly bitten by the fishing bug. One boat led to a bigger boat which led to an even bigger boat. As a kid, Adam spent every moment of summer fishing on the beach or off of a pier. It was rare that he got opportunity to go out on a boat, so he understands the thrill and the freedom of the ocean. Captain Adam and his mate, are excited to share that thrill with you. The Seabbatical is a comfortable, safe boat. She is a great boat for your first trip along the beach to watch dolphins, reel in some fish for the grill and try to catch a shark or two. She also has the experience to take a seasoned fisherman 50 miles offshore in search of a trophy. At the end of the day, we want you to have a good time catching some fish and enjoying the water, so shoot Adam a text and let him know what kind of a trip you are looking for. We also have a beautiful inshore boat that is perfect for those looking to explore the water way and its numerous winding creeks with trout and red drum.
