About Captain Steve Hancock
Tackle & Equipment We use 7-9 weight fly rod and reel outfits with sinking and floating lines attached to 8'-9' leaders. Common flies used consist of clouser minnows, deceivers, crayfish flies, and custom flies I have designed that work well. For the spin fishing enthusiast, you have a variety of species to choose from. The possibilities include Smallmouth & Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Catfish, Musky & Striper, depending on time of year, water levels, and location. You will be using various types of lures such as jigs, tube jigs, spinner baits, crank baits, stick baits, soft plastics and the occasional live bait, just to name a few.
