About Captain John
The Local Charter is the newest addition to the long standing fishing tradition at the Avalon Sportfish Center. Captain John and his family have fished these waters for nearly 30 years - "We have made incredible memories with our friends and family in this fishery - We look forward to sharing our knowledge and gift of hospitality with those in Avalon and the Jersey Shore. Tight Lines to ALL" The vessel "JakerBoy" is a 45' Tiara Express with twin, CAT12 turbo diesels and beautiful interior, lots of room and comfort. JakerBoy is named for Captain John's son Jake who left us too soon back in 2021. His memory is honored everyday with this name sake and the wonderful stories Captain tells of his years of fishing with his son. (see gallery and Vessel "JakerBoy" links for images)
