About the Captain
*TFC recommends catch and release due to the uncertain future of striped bass stocks. All state and federal regulations must be followed if an angler wishes to keep their catch. The current regulations are that striped bass must be between 28 and 31 inches total length. 1 fish per angler. The captain can clean the catch back at the dock. Capt. Pierce grew up on the banks of the Piscataqua River in Maine. From a young age he was infatuated with marine life and fishing. During grade school and college all his free time was spent out on the saltwater, everywhere from Maine to Florida, fishing. After graduating with a degree in marine biology from Roger Williams University he worked as a fisheries observer and then joined the family shellfish business and has been doing that ever since. In 2024, he took the next step and earned his Captain’s License and became a Registered Maine Guide.
