About Captain Joe Clouse
Capt. Joe Clouse was born in Corpus Christi and spent his summers fishing with his grandparents in and around Port Aransas. He started commercial fishing for flounder, drum and sheepshead in the mid-1990s, and worked in a fish house cutting and delivering fish, shrimp and crabs to restaurants across the Coastal Bend. Today he is a full-time flounder gigging guide who knows the waters, habits and migration patterns of flounder well. He gigs every month of the year except November, when flounder gigging is closed.
