About Captain Bart Smith
In 2014, I made the permanent move to Northeast Florida to plant my roots in the fertile fishing grounds surrounding Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island. This was the ideal home base to turn my lifelong obsession into a profession through owning my own charter business. After obtaining my U.S. Coast Guard captain’s license in 2020, I proudly established Fernandina Fishing Charters. Now I get to spend every day on the water doing what I love most – sharing my deep passion and knowledge of offshore angling with visitors to our amazing coastal region.
